Local Business Receives Prestigious Queens Award For Enterprise: Innovation
Staeger Wins Queens Award For Enterprise. The Coventry based company was established in 1999/2000 by current Managing Director Ian Jamie has just been awarded the Queens Award For Enterprise: Innovation.

The award comes after tremendous efforts carried out by the local company especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The team at Staeger, who are based in Coventry have been working with innovating recycled PET (PolyEthylene Terephthalate) and recently used prevented ocean plastics to make visors for the NHS throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

We attended Staeger’s Coventry factory where there was attendance from some of the areas most prestigious people. The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr Kevin Maton and the Queens Lord-Lieutenant Mr John Crabtree OBE were amongst the invited guests along with senior members from Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce.

The award signifies a huge boost for Stager Clear Packaging and in fact the local area. To be acknowledged, and win this award will most undoubtably aid the company progress even further in business and secure the jobs of many.

To win this award isn’t an easy task. To apply for the innovation award your innovation needs to have been on the market for at least 2 years, recovered all the investments made and show outstanding commercial success as a result of that innovation within 2 years!

A Job Well Done
Ian Jamie who founded the company back in 1999/2000 will be leaving the company at the end of this year. Ian, along with the Swiss group Staeger & Co AG have become a continued award winning company within the packaging sector and are indeed leading the way with their innovative and sustainable recycled processes. We wish Ian all the best with any future plans he has, and we are sure the company is in safe hands under leadership from the new Managing Director Mr Dale Freeman.
