Her amazing chalk mural inspired by Captain Tom Moore and an NHS frontline worker has captivated everyone in the city!
Captain Tom Moore who has just reached £20million for the NHS after walking 100 laps of his garden!
Speaking with Bedworth News, Claire tells us that she has been a professional artist for the last 7 years. Although she says large scale chalk murals isn’t something she is used to.
Just by looking at the pictures of her recent work you can clearly see she has amazing talent.
After the announcement that the UK is to remain in lockdown for a further 3 weeks, this artwork is just what we needed.
It shows hope. It shows solidarity. It shows that as a nation we will pull together and get through this.
We got in contact with Claire on her Facebook Page to ask her a few questions.
Where do you find inspiration for your art?
I find inspiration in all sorts of things, I like looking at what other artists are creating on social media. I also draw a lot of inspiration from the imagination and responses of the children I work with. For this chalk mural I drew my inspiration from the incredible spirit and determination of Capt. Tom Moore
What do you think of Captain Toms Achievement raising so much money?
Captain Tom Moore is an incredible man, a true inspiration. He has managed to achieve something truly phenomenal, and it will make a huge positive impact on the NHS
Will you be doing any more art about the current situation regarding Coronavirus?
My neighbours are expecting me to create a new chalk drawing next week, so I will more than likely be producing some more art work regarding the current situation. Weather permitting!
Claire says that she loves the works of Michelangelo, but her absolute favourites would be Kit King, Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keeffe.
We think that Claire’s work definitely needs the recognition it deserves.
