A Range Rover Sport has collided with another vehicle at one of Bedworth’s worst crossroads.

Whilst there didn’t seem to be any serious immediate injuries, the damage to the vehicles tells a somewhat different story.

Passers by at the Vicarage Lane, Royal Oak Lane crossroads state they heard a tremendous bang and come rushing to the aid of those involved.

Emergency services were called immediately. A member of the public stated they were advised there could be a five hour wait until an ambulance would arrive on scene!

No serious injuries identified, despite the horrific crash.

Mr Keith Holgate of Longford and Mr Robert Washington from Bell Green, Coventry were both driving in the black Peugeot were heading towards the Bedworth side of Royal Oak Lane. At the crossroads they were immediately hit by an on coming Range Rover Evoque, who failed to stop at the junction.

The driver of the Range Rover Evoque was a lady, Janine, who had drove all the way from Northampton to the area as she had arranged to pick up some gym equipment.

Janine, along with Mr Holgate and Mr Washington seemed to have no physical marks upon their bodies despite the horrific state of the vehicles.

Janine stated that she was very shaken up, and her vision was very blurry.

There were several members of the public and local business who came to the aid of these people, and also aided the flow of traffic until emergency services could arrive.
