Are you thinking about the £10k Business Grant – Covid-19? There have been a lot of enquires over the past week or so, asking who is eligible for the Business rates grant scheme and how to apply.
We have compiled a short summary of what we have found out, although we will advise you do your own research too.

The Coronavirus (Covid-19) has put this generation into an unprecedented crisis. Being compared to that of the 1918 Spanish Flue pandemic, and even WW2.
Regardless of what people are comparing this too, we cannot deny it is having a severe impact on the UK economy, and your own back pocket.
With many people unable to work as they are deemed none essential key workers, or because as advised by the government they are staying at home to reduce further spread of the virus.
In many workplaces Furlough has been implemented which means that the government will pay employee’s wages if they are unable to work because of Covid-19 with a 20% reduction.
Small businesses however have been offered a grant of £10,000 to help support them during the coronavirus pandemic.
Eligibility
Here are some of the requirements that we know of, although you may need to contact Nuneaton & Bedworth Council for further clarification.
- In receipt of business rate relief
- Not received state aid that totals £800,000
- Business premises is for business use, not personal use
- Occupation of your business property at 11th March 2020 or before

- Company number
- VAT number (If applicable)
- What is you business address
- Grant applicant / business owner personal & contact details
- Business bank details
